About
Most of my work starts with a conversation.
Organizations usually come to me with a lot of ideas, opinions, and goals—but not always a clear way to say what matters most. My role is to listen, ask good questions, and help shape that thinking into a clear, human story. The video is important—but clarity comes first.
I work as a creative partner from early conversations through final edit, helping teams sort through complexity and focus on what will actually connect with their audience.
How I got here
I’ve spent decades working as an editor, producer, and creative director—both inside organizations and alongside them. That experience taught me how ideas get stuck, where projects lose focus, and how creative work can drift when no one is helping guide the thinking.
Over the years, I’ve led creative teams, taught others how to make better work, and served in leadership roles for nonprofits and professional organizations. Those roles shaped how I work today: thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in real-world constraints.
I’m comfortable working with leadership teams, boards, educators, and creatives—and often act as a bridge between different perspectives in the room.
How I work
I don’t start with cameras or gear. I start by listening.
That means understanding:
What you’re trying to say
Who you’re trying to reach
What success actually looks like
From there, I help shape the story, guide the creative direction, and handle production and editing with care and attention to detail. I’m involved throughout the process, keeping things focused and moving forward without unnecessary complexity.
Clients often tell me they appreciate that I’m calm, clear, and willing to push back—kindly—when something isn’t serving the story.
What to expect
Working with me feels less like handing a project off and more like figuring it out together. You can expect:
Clear communication
Thoughtful collaboration
Editorial judgment grounded in experience
Videos that feel honest, useful, and true to who you are
The goal isn’t flash or hype. It’s making something that works—and that you feel good putting into the world.
A good fit
If you’re looking for someone to simply “shoot a video,” I may not be the right fit.
But if you want a creative partner who will help you think clearly, focus your message, and make a video that actually says what matters, I’d love to talk.
